On Saturday, May 23, at 8:00 PM, we’re bringing a must-see comedy show to Volt Raceway in Bowmanville. Shannon Laverty headlines.
Shannon Laverty is a veteran stand-up comic from Saskatchewan and a five-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee who was voted top host by Glenn Sumi in NOW Magazine. She has performed across Canada and internationally, including in South Africa, Germany, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. She has shared the stage with major names like Dana Carvey, Louis C.K., and Robert Klein, including a standout New Year’s Eve performance at Massey Hall. Laverty is a featured performer on A Little Sketchy TV (NTD TV) and can be heard on SiriusXM channels including Just for Laughs Canada, Raw Dog, and She’s So Funny. Her additional credits include CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and numerous television appearances. Known for her boldly provocative style, Shannon draws audiences in with a flirtatious, high-energy delivery that leaves a lasting impression.
This is a live comedy show — nothing is censored, and nothing is off-limits! The comedians say what they want, and if that ruffles your feathers, well… that’s on you. If you’re easily offended, might be best to stay home and yell at your TV instead—otherwise, buckle up and enjoy the ride!
A guaranteed good night out with a date, family (subject matter often R rated) or group of friends. Comedy Nuggets is committed to providing a fun night out. If you’re looking for a good time, this is one of the best things to do this weekend in Bowmanville.
